I bought the posh clothing but it still looks ugly
I saw CSS at the Leadmill last night. Supported by Metronomy and Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong. Metronomy were, as usual, great! Synchronised electro pop never fails. Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong left a little to be desired but they are definitely a tight band with some top tunes.
First off is Radio Ladio by Metronomy, there are few words to describe it, odd and brilliant are two of them.
Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong – I Aint Sure their next single is Lonely Buoy and if it has as much energy as it did live it’ll be a must buy.
CSS – Alala (John Hyde Remix) Look out for them on their Christmas tour. Joined by a dancing Christmas tree and armed with plenty of new tracks they’re certainly an experience.

And finally Sound System (Underworld Remix) – Drum Club because it’s my favourite remix at the moment.
Softly Softly
Elle s’appelle, from Liverpool, and who had a Radio One Live session last night are currently on tour till late february, their most recent single Little Flame sold out on 7" but you can still get the CD and DD from the Moshi Moshi shop here.
This is a song to sample in the meantime Seesaw – Elle s’appelle.
Babyshambles’ "You Talk" (Parlophone) was released this monday and on my doorstep the same day, Royal Mail haven’t lost anything in a while I’m getting suspicious… Pete Doherty’s collaboration with Kate Moss on the writing credits comes across in the song, Stephen Street it seems, who produced the album, (Street’s best accomplishment often noted as "The Queen is Dead") has done a great job at getting Pete sounding good in the studio again.
The single can be bought from recordstore.co.uk

F.U.K.D. & B.O.M.B.D.
This mixtape from Guns n Bombs, an electro duo from LA, leaves you feeling dirty but it’s damn moreish. Check out their Teenagers remix video on their myspace.
Check out the BBC finally seeing sense and allowing free downloads of Annie Mac’s minimix segment from her friday night slot.
The postman delivered Bonde do Role‘s debut album "With Lasers". I haven’t ripped the vinyl yet but this is one of my favourite remixes at the moment, Office Boy (CSS remix) – Bonde do Role, the album is a fine example dirty beats and anyone who saw them at the scala last week will be with me when i say they are quite insane live.
